First, let me say that I am SO excited about your upcoming photoshoot. We are going to have an absolute BLAST working together to create some killer images! I truly believe the success of any relationship relies on clear communication and expectations. So, I’ve pulled together this guide to how things operate here at JBP. Yes, there’s a lot of information in here, but it will answer many of the questions you didn’t know you’d have. And in the spirit of clear communication, read over this and feel free to contact me by email with any questions or concerns you may have. It is my goal to create the most incredible photo experience, and it all starts here.

Given studio rental guidelines, I am unable to access the studio prior to my booked start time. If you arrive before your scheduled time, please wait in your car for the additional time.

I also recommend that you add a buffer of 10-15 minutes in your travel time to ensure a timely arrival. If you anticipate being late, please call me as soon as possible at (972) 638-0144.

The schedule for your photoshoot is created with a number of factors in mind including scheduled time at the studio, lighting and weather conditions, as well as the schedules of the hair and makeup artist and me. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you arrive to your photoshoot at your scheduled time. If you are late to the shoot, the amount of time lost will be deducted from your session time, which may result in fewer outfits, fewer images, and/or alterations to the overall scope of your session.

I highly recommend you check and account for travel times, road closures, weather conditions, and time for finding/obtaining parking.

I understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances occur and you may need to reschedule your photoshoot or client meeting. If the need arises, please contact me by phone at (972) 638-0144 as soon as possible. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 6 (six) months of your original session date. Please note that any rescheduled sessions will be subject to my and my hair and makeup artists’ availability, as well as that of the studio. Therefore, any originally promised deadlines for delivery of final images cannot be guaranteed.

Your online proofing gallery will remain active for 1 (one) year from your shoot date. Upon the expiration of that timeframe, your gallery will no longer be active and will be archived. Should you need to reactivate your gallery after it has been archived, a $25 unarchival fee will be invoiced to you.

Once the invoice has been paid, the gallery will be reactivated and I will email you the link and password to your gallery. The gallery will then be active for one year from the date of reactivation.

Jen Bertrand Photography shall remain the sole author, sole owner and sole copyright claimant of any licensed photograph[s] and does not transfer ownership or control of said copyrights unless indicated in the licensing contract signed prior to the shoot. If you are in need of licensing rights outside of what is indicated in the signed contract, you must email me with your request, including all details necessary for the assessment of rates and terms for additional licensing. Rates will be determined at fair market value and payment for additional licensing must be received before images can be used in their expanded licensing capacity.

Each image I produce and deliver has been handcrafted and custom retouched to achieve a specific look for you and your shoot that, as a photographer, is my personal artistic vision and expression. Therefore, any altering of the images is forbidden, including but not limited to the addition of filters, color changes, body modifications, contrast, and exposure.

I recognize that websites, social media platforms, and print mediums often require cropping that is outside of the original image size ratios. Therefore, you are permitted to crop images in order to satisfy the requirements of these platforms only.
