Last month I received an email from a staff member at Voyage Dallas stating that they were interested in featuring me on their website. When I received the email, I was a little in disbelief and checked to make sure it wasn't spam. NOPE! It was legit! WHAT?! REALLY?! Sweet! Count. Me. IN!
I wasn't sure what to say, especially since writing about myself is sure to induce a wave of cringing (by myself and, in my mind, anyone who comes across what I've written). But, they went easy on this ol' gal and gave me the opportunity to simply tell my story and the journey that has been Jen Bertrand Photography. What a journey it's been! It's hard to believe that it's already been 5.5 years since we moved to Dallas from Austin and my little business was forced to begin anew. It hasn't been easy. I mean, is it ever really? But, it's been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. It's a little crazy to look back and think about how JBP has evolved from a little dream into a full-fledged photography business focused on creative + business professionals, models + actors, and seniors + teens. It may sound cliché, but I truly love what I do, and I'm excited to get the chance to share that with you all!
